STIR FRIED SZECHWAN PRAWNS
Ingredients:
- Prawns - 1kg (cleaned, deveined)
- Tomato sauce - 5 tbsp
- Spring Onions - 5 tbsp (chopped)
- Garlic - 3 tbsp (chopped)
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Ginger - 3 tsp (chopped)
- Dry Red Chillies - 6nos. (broken)
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Red chilli sauce - 2 tbsp
- Soya Sauce -3 tbsp
- Honey - 1 tbsp
- A pinch of Ajinomoto (optional)
- Cornstarch - 3 tbsp
- Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Recipe Direction:
- In a Microwave safe bowl, add oil and all ingredients except cornflower and prawns and microwave covered at 100% power for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add prawns and one cup of water to the above and mix well. Microwave covered at 100% power for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in between.
- Now add cornstarch (in 1/2 cup water). Mix well and microwaves uncovered for 5 minutes at 60% power till the gravy thickens. Standing time of 5 minutes to be given.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
