WHOLE POMFRET MASALA FISH FRY
Ingredients:
- Pomfret Fish - 3 (Whole pomfret salted for 30 minutes and washed salt)
- Oil or Butter - 1 tbsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 2 to 3 tsp
- Red Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- Black Pepper powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Cumin seed powder - 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice - 3 tsp
- Salt to taste
For Garnish:
- Slices of lemon
- Fried curry leaves
Method:
Mix the salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, Coriander powder, cumin seed powder,pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, oil (2tsp) and lemon juice and rub it into the pomfret. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
Heat oil for frying pan. Once the oil is hot, place the marinated fish in the pan and fry from the sides for 5 to 10 minutes each until nicely browned.
Garnish with slices of lemon, fried curry and leaves . Serve hot.
