GOAN FISH CURRY
Ingredients:
- Fish Steaks - 500gm (mackeral or any other firm fish)
- Coconut Milk - 2 cups
- Onion - 2 (sliced)
- Tomato -2 (chopped)
- Fresh Green Chilli - 3 to 4 (chopped)
- Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Garlic - 4 flakes (crushed)
- Ginger - 1 tbsp (sliced)
- Garam Masala - 3tsp
- Capsicums - 1 (thickly sliced) (optional)
- Potatoes - 1 (thinly sliced) (optional)
- Vinegar of Fresh Lime Juice - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1to 2 tsp
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Recipe Direction:
- Apply salt and vinegar or lime juice to fish steaks and keep aside to marinate for 1 hour.
- In a microwave safe bowl, add oil , onion, tomatoes, green chillies, capsicum, potatoes and microwave at 100% power for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup water, cook for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk, dry masala, fish and season to taste covered and microwave for 6 to 7 minutes till fish is tender.Let it stand for 5 minutes
- Serve hot with plain boiled rice or ghee rice.
