How to make Dried Fish With Herbs?

Ingredients:

  • Small dried fish - 500 gm
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 (chopped)
  • Carrot - 1 (sliced)
  • Capsicum -1 (sliced)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Cumin seed powder - 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce - 1 tsp
  • Tomato sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Cornflour - 1 tbsp
  • Kasurimethi  - 1 tbsp (crushed) 
  • Lemon grass - 10 gm
  • Salt to taste

Method:

Add lemon juice with hot water and wash the dry fish thoroughly 5 to 8 times.

In a microwave safe bowl, add oil , ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, lemon grass and salt and microwave for 30 to 40 minutes at 100% power.

Now add chopped onion, carrots and capsicum and microwave covered for 5 minutes at 90% power. Stir in between.

Add soya sauce, tomato sauce, pepper powder and dried fish and microwave covered at 90% power for 5 minutes.

Dissolve corn flour in 1/2 cup water (or) fish stock and add to it, mixing it thoroughly.

Cover and microwave at 80% power for 5 minutes. Stir in between.

Serve hot with steamed rice or saffron rice.
