PRAWN MALAI GRAVY
Ingredients:
- Prawns - 500 gm ( shelled,deveined, salted and washed prawns)
- Lemon juice - 1/2 tbsp
- Olive oil / Ghee - 1 tbsp
- Thick Coconut milk - 1&1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
For Seasoning:
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 tbsp
Ground to a Paste:
- Onion -1
- Tomato - 1
- Ginger - 1 (inch piece)
- Garlic - 5 flakes
- Cloves - 2
- Green chillies - 3
- Turmeric powder - 3 tsp
- Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Method:
Apply turmeric powder, lemon juice and salt to the prawns. Keep for 30 minutes and then wash well.
In a large pan pour ghee add mustard seeds and curry leaves fry for 2 minutes.
Add grounded masala paste and 1/4 cup of water . mix well and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
When gravy becomes thicker now add the thick coconut milk. Add prawns and cook for 5 minutes in a low flame.
Serve hot with boiled rice or chapathi.
